This tutorial was written with Paint Shop Pro7-
I'm sure it can be done in other versions with just a few adjustments.

These are the supplies you will need to complete this tutorial

Don't forget to add to your fonts, before opening your PSP

The tubes I used came from pictures that I received in e-mail...
I'm not sure who the author is...

Open all your supplies you downloaded in your work area in PSP, this way we do not have to hunt anything when we get started..

Let's Begin! And remember...save...save...save!

Open an new image 400 wide x 400 high - 16 million colors - transparent background.

Change your background and forground colors to #A62615

Flood Fill Your Work In Progress

Selections/Select all

Selections/Modify/Contract by 30 ...

Selections/Invert...

You should now have ants running around the Border now...
inside and out

Effects/ plugins / Xenofex2/  Electrify
with these settings
While the ants are still marching around the Border
go to
Effects Geometric/ Ripple
With these settings

Selections/Select none

Add your Xmas Lady tube, Edit/ Copy

Click back on work in progress,
Edit/Paste/Add as a new Layer

Center her in the middle, and let her dress over flow,
over the edge of the first border, example below


Now we can add the Xmas presents without moving anything else on your work in progress...


Add your Xmas presents tube, Edit/ Copy

Click back on work in progress,
and
Edit/Paste/ Add as a New Layer

Imagine/resize/60%, make sure your resize all layers is NOT checked
before hitting OK..

Place the presents on the left side bottom, like they are leaning on the chair, (Santa just left, LOL ~), within your first border though..like below..


Effects/3D Effects/ Drop shadow
With the below settings
Now we need our XMas Hat it should already be on your work space, Edit/ Copy

Click back on work in progress, and Edit/Paste/Add as a new Layer

Take the X Mas hat and Place on the Xmas Lady's head, you may want it another direction than the one I have, if so use your Deformation tool (your choice)

Layers/Merge/Merge Visible

When you are happy with that ...

Layers/Merge/Merge Visible,

I have already put a drop shadow to them so none needed ~
unless you prefer them darker...

Change your foreground and background colors to the gold fill, it should come up in your patterns ...if you have the file on your work area, if not please open now...then it should be there...

I used the Angel Font (that was in your download) but that is your choice...you may have one you like better..*smiles*~
With the below settings

Lady In Red
Layers/Convert To Raster Layer

Make sure that your text layer is in blue on your layer palette, and then go to Effects/3D Effects /Drop Shadow settings below..

Layers/Merge/Merge visible
background/White
Image/Add Border/size 5 /White
Use magic wand click on the Border we just added..make sure the ants are only going around the Border...inside and out...

Flood Fill With The Gold Fill Pattern With These Settings..




Selections/ Select None

Change background color back to White...

Image/Add Border /size 5 /White

Now we need to change the Gold Fill back as a Pattern in background,
Use magic wand click on the Border we just added..make sure the ants are only going around the Border...inside and out...Flood Fill with Gold..
Again, same settings as above

Selections, Select None

Yours should look something like this now...






















Now we need to Add your corner, it should be on your work space also,
Lets grab it, and Edit/Copy..
Then back to your work in progress, Edit/ Paste/As A New Layer

Image/Resize/70%, make sure the All Layers is still unchecked.

Place in the right hand corner,

Layers/duplicate/Image/mirror...

Layers Duplicate/Imagine/Flip

Layers/duplicate/Image/Mirror...

They should be in each corner now...

Layers/Merge/Merge Flatten

You can now Resize
To whatever size you desire..
This time make sure ALL Layers are checked
Image/Resize

We are Finished..*smiles*
