Message To A Loved One Tag

This tutorial was written for Paint Shop Pro7
I'm sure it can be done in other versions with just a few adjustments.

These are the supplies you will need to complete this tutorial

Included is also the Frame I used, please add to your Frames in PSP before opening.

The tubes I used came from pictures that I received in email...
I'm not sure who the authur is...if anyone knows who they belong to and will email me... I will give credit where credit is due...

Let's get started..Have Fun ~

We are going do this tutorial a little different than most...it will seem backwards at first but you will soon get the full effect,
of what we are doing here...

First open a new Imagine 300 by 300...

Flood fill with color ...#E1D49D

Imagine Picture Frame/ frame message from a loved one... make sure add frame outside of imagine is checked..

This is what you should have now...

Make sure your Layer 1, is checked on your layer Palette..(that it is the one in blue)..NOT the frame...

Then go to Effects/ Texture Effect/ Blinds
Using these settings...You will see the color I used and all the settings..below


Your work in progress should look like this now...as you can see it looks like a letter with the lines prepared for your message...almost like stationary...

Now we are going to use a inner bevel...
using the settings below...
Effects/3DEffects/inner bevel..

Then add a Drop Shadow using the below seetings...
Effects/3D Effects/ Drop Shadow

Layers/ Merge/ Merge Visible...

Mine Now looks like this ~

You now can add any tubes that you may choose to send a message to a loved one, or use the ones I have given you in your supplies..and since Thanksgiving is close, that was my choice..

Open your fall tute...resize 70% (make sure resize all layers is NOT checked)

Edit/copy/

Click back on your work in progress

  Edit/paste as a new layer...

As you can see the Fall tube is outside of the frame...which is what we wanted as we are going to bring it down so we can have room for our message on the above stationary we made..

I used a inner bevel with the same above settings ...
Make sure your Fall tube layer is clickled on your layer Palette
( not your merged layer)

Effects/3DEffects/inner bevel ( your settings should still be there)

Drop shadow with the same settings...Effects/3DEffects/Drop Shadow
( your settings should still be there)

I placed the Fall Tube to the right, where the bird looks like it is setting on the birds nest near the mail box on the frame...
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible

See, we have plenty of room left at the top now *smiles*~

Open your pumpkin girl (she has already been resized)

Edit/copy/

Click back on your work in progress

Edit/paste as a new layer...

Position her on the left hand corner of your frame like this...
Making sure her hair is within the picture frame..
and her shoe is setting on the frame...

This way, all of your tube will be in the picture when you save...

Make sure your Pumpkin girl tube layer is clickled on your layer Palette
(not your merged layer)

Effects/3DEffects/inner bevel (your settings should still be there)

Drop shadow with the same settings...Effects/3DEffects/Drop Shadow
(your settings should still be there)

Now we need to write a note, so lets go to Layers/merge/merge visible

Open Your Text, vector checked/ Antalias checked...
The color I used was #903A34
but you can change..to any color you prefer...

Use your dropper tool and choose your own color from your tube..
I just liked the dark color for the Fall ~

I used the text A&S Snapper Script size 14






When you are happy, then go to Layers/ Convert to Raster Layer..

We left enough room at the top you can write a special note to anyone...

I also used a drop shadow on my text using the same settings...
as above..

Effects/3D Effects/ Drop Shadow
and
Effects/3DEffects/inner bevel
( your settings should still be there on both)

Now you may resize all layers to whatever you desire...
I left this one larger so you could see the full effect...

Image/resize ( ALL LAYERS CHECKED)

Layers/Merge/Merge All

We are Done!
